Addiscombe Evening 10s
The Addiscombe evening 10 mile time trials restart on Tuesday 12th May at 7.30 pm. A firm favourite for racers, testers, wannabes, ninjas, roman centurions and pirates. These events are held on the Holmwood course and are a great way to dip your toe into the world of time trialling. You don’t need to fill out any paperwork, just get yourself onto the forum and let the wonderful Jon Hemming know you’re coming along to set a new personal best!
Surrey League Handicap
Addiscombe is promoting a round of the SL handicap on Thursday May 21st. George Brent, aka The Smiling Assassin is the event promoter. If you want to race, help or go along and support the team then check out all the details on the forum.

This is going to be hotly contested. Full details can be found here and you will need to submit an official entry for this one real soon.
Bend & Stretch
The next block of ACC Pilates classes start on May 13th. So far we have seven people signed up and there are a few spare mats. The cost for 8 excellent sessions is £60. Classes are held at the ACC club room, starting 8.30 prompt and last an hour. They are great fun, great for balance, fitness and flexibility so if you’ve not yet had a go, now’s the time to give it a try. Oh, and there’s usually delicious cake afterwards too. Just reply to this newsletter and we’ll get you in touch with Adam, the Minister of Stretch.

Headline Summary of ACC committee meeting held 27 April 2009
Club Dinner 2010
Where to hold next year’s dinner? Return to Selsdon Park Hotel or try somewhere new? Research is underway on a couple of alternatives and your views will be sought soon.
Website
The committee agreed to employ a web designer to make proposals for a new Addiscombe website. We will redirect web traffic from the old site to the digest, forum and hotmail. Sean Hogan has made a number of improvements to the digest recently to support this.
Marshalling
We discussed the problem of getting marshals…particularly for early morning events. We’re going to put even more effort into publicising this and reminding everyone that helping out is part of being a member of ACC. Most people enjoy making a contribution once we’ve dragged them out of bed; need to spread the word better. Also will publicise remaining races we are obliged to support and ask people to pick their preferred slot(s) before we pick them for them.
Club Run
Following
concerns that we were spending a long time congregating at CSS, Monty
confirmed he is always there by 9am and he and John Czernobay confirmed
that the club run had been getting off in a more timely manner of late.
There was a discussion about whether we needed to consider an
alternative start point but it was agreed that CSS would continue to
meet our needs for the present.
please do not pee in my drive as l will be takeing this up with the council on 24th /6/9 as l do find this pleasent, this was on the 23/6/9 and the person was showing number 5 and was told by me this was not acceptable and i would be complaining, your club in not the only one doing this its all of you,.
